Five down, 47 more to go...
So half my heart has been deployed to the desert for more than FIVE WEEKS now. It seems like it's been forever since I've been able to hold his hand. I miss him so much.
We stay busy with school and school activities and volunteer work, but of course it's never the same.
We even moved a week and a half ago. 12,000 lbs - 4 bedrooms worth of furniture and STUFF. Granted, we only moved a block away, but still... We had to do it without my better half to help out and it was tough. We moved from one set of military quarters to another set, so they only gave us 3 days to get out of the old place - and have it cleaned well enough to pass inspection. Fun stuff. M-O-V-E is definitely a four-letter word in my house now.
BTW - The photo shows my 'little green army man.' Not quite the same as having him here, but he sits next to my monitor and every time I see it I think of him. :)
